A Long Ride Home for Abby

This scene takes place on the LA Metro Rail system.  Abby is going home after a fight with Tommy.  The scene was shot with the smaller Canon 5D Mark II due to busy nature of the public space.  The crew looked like a bunch of tourists taking pictures which allowed us to be present, yet invisible.  Read more about the production notes under the “About” page.

  1. I LOVED THIS TRANSITIONAL SCENE! THE STARKNESS OF THE EMPTY TRAIN CAR..THE MOVEMENT OF TIME PASSING BY SO QUICKLY & DARKNESS OF NIGHT ALL REPRESENT THE DEEP TOUBLED THOUGHTS GOING THROUGH ABBY’S MIND OF HER LIFE! THE LOSS OF HER FATHER & NON COMMITTMENT TO BE LOVED & PROTECTED FROM MEN & NOW TOMMY..IT’S ALL SO REVEALING!I FELT HER PAIN CRYING OUT WITHOUT A WORD OF DIALOGUE! WONDERFUL JOB REBECCA DID IN REALLY BEING IN THE MOMENT! AND TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT HER FATHERS DEATH & WHAT SHE HAS TO DO..& YET THE TRUTH DOESN’T ALWAYS SET ONE FREE! THE SYMBOLISM OF HER PICKING UP THE FLOWER..BRILLIANT! SO BEAUTIFUL..DELICATE..& YET IT WILL DIE IN A FEW DAYS!VERY POIGNANT..POWERFUL SCENE!*****
